Maingear Shift Releases High-Powered CPUs



Maingear recently released a duo of simple-looking desktop towers that have high-powered features inside. Called the Shift: Intel P55 and the Shift: Intel X58, both CPUs are powered by Intel Core i7 900 processors.

The desktop towers also run the new operating system Windows 7. And for the gamers, you will be ecstatic to know that the two Shift: Intels run an ATI Radeo HD and NVIDIA GeForce graphics cards. It also has six mechanical or 12 SSD drives.

Meanwhile, the P55 also contains up to 8GB DDR3-1600 low latency RAM while the X58 has up to 12GB DDR3-2000 or 24GB DDR3-1600. Both desktop towers have the option to have DVD or Blu-Ray drivers.

Prices for the two Maingear CPUs are placed at $2,199 for the P55 and $2,599 for the X58. But with all the options listed above, prices can go up higher than expected.
