Perfection: Lacie’s 1TB Network Space

The problem with digital hardware these days is that it lacks more storage for us to save movies, music, documents, pictures, etc. Now, a network space is nothing new. Basically, it exists to make life easier for you. With this device, you don’t need to have those numerous external hard drives and cables. The Network Attached Storage (NAS) is as good as it gets.

But for once, it looks like Lacie has just shoved all competitions to the dust. The new 1-terabyte Lacie network space has a sleep mode, and it can be awoken over the network. There’s also a USB port, so you will be able to hook up another drive to it.

It can also work as an iTunes server, and is compatible with Macs, Windows and gaming consoles.

The Lacie network space comes in a shiny black box that has a blue light underneath. You have the option to turn the light on or off. It all depends on your mood.

Sadly, the network space is only Ethernet-connected. No WiFi for Lacie. You need to connect this to a router, so the need for cables is still there. But hey, at least all you need now is one shiny stylish box instead of numerous external hard drives, right?

The Lacie network space will retail for $160, which is $100 less than Apple’s Time Capsule.
