xpPhone Runs On Windows 7

There are some interesting new pieces of information regarding the xpPhone, which works like a netbook. The smartphone will be available in a variety of touch screen display sizes, including 4.3 inches, 4.8 inches and the 7-incher display. You’ll also be able to add a 5-megapixel camera, Windows 7 and a dual GSM/CDMA support.

The xpPhone is customizable. Here are some of the options you can choose for your smartphone: a 1G AMD Super Mobile CPU, support for 2G, 3G and even 4G networks, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. You can also choose to have a two-SIM standby (GSM/GSM, TD/TD and EVDO/EVDO) and a dual-mode and dual-standby (GSM/CDMA, GSM/TD and CDMA/TD). There’s also an option for a three-mode and three-standby (GSM, TD and EVDO).

The SSD is available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB while HDD is available in 30GB, 60GB, 80GB and 120GB. You may also choose between different operating systems like MS DOS, Windows XP Professional, XP Home, XP Embedded and the new Windows 7.

Ports available are one earphone jack, one microphone jack, one USB 2.0 port, SIM slot and a docking connector for VGA output signal.

There’s still no word on pricing, but check back in again for more details. I’m pretty sure though that the prices are going to be based on the customizations.
